I'm also impressed that they basically make you get 110% completion to get 1000G, by making you do the few things that are not part of 100%, for individual achievements. I wish that there were an achievement tied to each collectable and side mission to give a better sense of progression, however at least there are no trivial grinding achievements. The only negative I encountered was some sound glitches with the music. There is a ton of great dialog, guns and cars sound great, and the radio has some great content. The ambient sounds are some of the best in the series. The weapon wheel helps, as does the new auto aim. The improved controls help a lot, although gunfights can still be aggravating. I remember some of the side missions being next to impossible on the original. The AI seems to be a lot more stupid than it was in the original, especially the police, but this actually benefits you, most of the time. I also ran into several weird graphical glitches, although most were just distracting.

Both of these things boggle my mind, because Doom Eternal plays at 4k 60 FPS with ray tracing on my Series X, and never struggles. This is while playing on performance mode. However, while I could speed through on a highway going insanely fast at 60 FPS, at other moments the framerate would drop to 30ish randomly. The first time that I was in a car and day became night, and my headlights came on, I was impressed. It's the same when you get in a helicopter. I was truly marveled when I got to the top of Mount Chilliad and could see the entirety of the map, whereas in the original, you could hardly even see the base of the mountain. At others, it looks like a struggling 360 game. At moments, it looks so good that you could mistake it for a remaster of the best looking 360 game. They smoothed out textures, gave it a fantastic 4k resolution, added reflections, shadows & exceptional lighting effects. With that out of the way, I think this a.decent port.

*I played on a Series X, I cannot speak on the other versions on other models. *If you want to earn achievements while playing GTA San Andreas, then you will enjoy this.

*If you loved this game on PS2 or Xbox, but hated the 360 version, and can't play the originals anymore because they look like dog poo, you will enjoy this.

*If you have a PC capable of playing a heavily modded version of the original, then you will be disappointed. *If your first GTA was GTA5, then you will probably be disappointed. *If you are expecting this to look like a current gen NEW release, you will be disappointed. That being said, whether this version is for you depends on several factors. I bought this trilogy day 1 going into it being skeptical, but excited. I 100%'d this on PS2 and Xbox, along with GTA 3 and Vice City. Now before I break things down, I'll be upfront. Despite what the internet is saying, a lot of work went into this. Fortunately, very big difference in the 360 port and this one. I do this because most people know what this game is, and most people now know that this version is also ported from the mobile version, just like the 360 version was.

Now I'm not gonna give a synopsis, instead, I'll include links to the review of the original release, and the 360 port. Currently I am 65% through my 100% run of this, and I've LOVED (almost) every second of it.(Edit-I have now 100%'d and got 1000G) I was going to wait until I completely finished it, but my vacation is almost up, and I figured that since some people might be on the fence, especially since it is on Gamepass, I would share my two pennies.
